Schedule & Requirements

(permanent residents must provide documentation)

This program is open to all students pursuing majors in science and engineering, but two semesters of Physics and Calculus are required. A minimum GPA of 3.5/4.0 is recommended, but not an absolute requirement. Participants will be selected on the basis of academic merit, research experience, personal references and suitability for the program. Women, minorities and persons with disabilities are especially encouraged to apply.

The deadline for applications for the domestic REU program is March 1, 2012. However, applications received after this date may be considered if there is space available.

This International REU summer program runs for 12 week periods throughout the summer months with a flexible schedule to suit research programs, the students itinerary, and the semester schedules of our international partners.

Stipends for the summer are up to $5,500 with either accommodations provided or an allowance for housing. This includes costs for domestic and international travel.
