Building on a Solid Foundation
CREOL & FPCE, The College of Optics and Photonics has grown rapidly as a result of the excellent research conducted by outstanding faculty and students in partnership with many companies around the world. In just 20 years, we are now a College with 2 research centers, CREOL (the Center for Research and Education in Optics & Lasers) & FPCE (the Florida Photonics Center of Excellence), with 38 faculty and associate faculty, 160 graduate students, a total population with staff and researchers of 265, and the distinction of being the first full college unit in our field in the US!
Our commitment to excellence is continuing, but we need the help of our colleagues, alumni, and friends to assure we continue to excel in our mission of “Creating the Future of Optics and Photonics”. As we continue to grow our funded research programs, we also need to develop our endowments for graduate fellowships, chaired professorships, and expanded facilities and equipment. Any amount is welcome, and some gifts may be eligible for matching programs.
The easiest way to make a cash donation gift to the College is to use the online form that the UCF Foundation provides. Just fill it out, print it, and mail it with your donation to the address provided on the above page.
If your employer has a matching program, please include information on it — forms, who to contact, or whatever is required to get the match to your gift.
If you would like to direct your gift to our building program, please do one of two things (first one is preferred):
With this direction of your gift, we will be able to apply for a 1:1 match for your contribution as well as for your employer's match. To encourage corporate as well as individual donations, there are naming opportunities in both the current CREOL building and in the new addition for labs, seminar rooms, and classrooms that will give permanent recognition to companies or individuals.
Thank you for your support of CREOL & FPCE, The College of Optics and Photonics. For further information, please contact:
