Biography
Since CREOL, Sean has worked for the Air Force Research Laboratory, Directed Energy Directorate in Albuquerque, NM.  His research topics have included nonlinear optics, laser development and laser system integration.  He chaired the Solid State and Diode Laser Technology Review from 2000 to 2011.  One technical specialty is laser beam quality metrics and he actively researches, teaches and publishes in this area.  He teaches laser beam quality short courses for the Directed Energy Professional Society and SPIE and published a textbook “Laser Beam Quality Metrics” with SPIE in March 2013.
