Giving to CREOL CREOL, The College of Optics & Photonics

Dr. Kyle Renshaw joins CREOL faculty

Dr. Kyle Renshaw joined the CREOL faculty this Fall as an assistant professor of optics and photonics. He comes from the Advanced Technology Center of Northrop Grumman after receiving his PhD in 2014 from the University of Michigan.

Dr. Renshaw’s research will be focused on thin-film optoelectronic materials and devices. Organic (molecular and polymeric), inorganic (via epitaxial lift-off), and perovskite semiconductors will be used to develop novel LEDs, solar cells, and sensors. These materials and devices have broad applications in lighting, displays, renewable energy, imaging and flexible electronics.
