Ted (Dong Jin) Shin, was born in a small town in S. Korea. When he was little, his family moved to Auckland, New Zealand and later to Toronto, Canada.

He obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Science in Physics at the University of Toronto in 2014. He finished his Master's Degree in Physics in 2016 from the same institution.
