I am currently designing liquid crystal-based biosensor to detect the concentration of bile acids, which is a biomarker for liver diseases. 

Previously, I designed pico projector using blue phase liquid crystal, which has fast response time and thus suitable for color sequential technique. I also did research on broadband nonlinear absorption via photochromism. Our objective is to achieve the transformation of photochromic molecules from colorless form to colored form by visible light using two photon absorption process. I investigated the aggregation of the photochromic molecule SPO1 in TOL, measured the colored form absorption of SPO1 in three ways, made a model and measured its transformation dynamics excited by UV laser diode. 

I obtained B.E. of Information Engineering in Zhejiang University, China in 2009, and M.S. of Optics in CREOL in 2011. In my spare time, I enjoy playing flute and piano, jogging and swimming, and reading ancient Chinese poems.
