George Curatu is an accomplished R&D professional with more than sixteen years of combined expertise in product development, management, and research in Optics, Lasers, and Medical Devices. He received his PhD degree in Optics from the University of Central Florida in 2009. Currently, Dr. Curatu is a consultant in optical design and engineering, having assisted several companies with the design and development of various products, including ophthalmic instrumentation, machine vision systems, and military optical systems. Previously, Dr. Curatu was Director, R&D - Optical Systems at LENSAR, Optical Engineering Manager at LightPath, and Senior Optical Engineer at Spectra-Physics.
