Nanophotonic Materials





Chris Grabill is a graduate student seeking his Ph.D. in chemistry with the NPM group.  Chris has been with the NPM group since 2008, when he started as undergraduate researching the effect of annealing on the conductivity of electrolessly deposited metallic films.  Chris has continued his work on electroless deposition, developing new electroless deposition baths giving metal films with varying nanoscale morphology.  

Outside of graduate school, Chris' interests include CrossFit, obstacle course racing, marathons, mountain biking and flag football.  Chris has competed at dozens of obstacle course races, several half marathons, a full marathon, several local and national CrossFit competitions in the scaled division and in national flag football tournaments.
