These unique light sources enable precision measurements with record-breaking spectral resolution, sensitivity, and speed. We apply them to challenges ranging from fundamental molecular spectroscopy to quantum photonics, ultrasensitive trace-gas detection, biomedical diagnostics through breath analysis, and real-time
