We have just demonstrated <a href=\"http:\/\/aip.scitation.org\/doi\/abs\/10.1063\/1.5012503\">room temperature lasing of a quantum cascade laser grown on a lattice-mismatched substrate<\/a>. An InP based design was grown on a GaAs substrate, utilizing a buffer layer between the InP and GaAs.
